For some years I have been noticing untidy bags of rubbish climbing up the windows in spring. They are about one centimetre long, and are inhabited by some sort of insect.

They seem to climb up the walls until they find somewhere relatively dry to pupate. I have never observed the adult insect, and know nothing else about their life cycle, but I assume they are something akin to a casemoth.
