RR poems: Index of first lines

Proud owner of a mind

Men toil, unheeding, unheeded,

Lost men, in self-imposed bondage.

Men living, men loving, men dying,

Enslaved by a nightmare,

Their masters machines.

No mind guides the steel,

It knows neither hate nor greed nor spite nor joy

It cannot be blamed, if man's God it usurps.

When man bows to steel his only the blame.

Conqueror of the earth, master of the universe,

Enslaved by machine, betrayed by his brain.

Heir to a thousand million years of evolution,

Proud owner of a mind.
